My apologies for this perhaps tough observation. I don’t mean to judge anyone, just finally sharing my strong internal reaction to others’ external reactions to the tragedy in Paris a couple months ago. For me, seeing French flags all over facebook echoed the ubiquitous American flags leading up to the current wars [which created this tragedy]. I did feel this round was a bit more based empathy than hate, but it still feeds these cycles.
